Nate McCollum

Owner, CF L2, Master of BS, Personal Chef to Jodi McCollum

Hi guys I’m Nate.  My Mother still calls me Nathan, but I outgrew that long ago.  I Prefer Nate, Nate Dogg, or “Hey stupid”.  I’m always looking for the fun in Life and luckily CrossFit is FUN!  I grew up in the Dallas area and was a soccer player most of my childhood up until college.  It’s a huge piece of my athletic career because it gave me endurance and speed.  In High School I played football and soccer but my senior year I had a bad accident and wasn’t sure I could continue to play either sport.  Luckily I recovered and as I headed into college I had to choose one sport, and it was football.  I went to Trinity University in San Antonio where I played Tight End.  I later Transferred to Baylor and tried to walk on but lingering effects from that high school injury were too much.  In 2001 I had two discs replaced and a fusion between L4-L5.  Needless to say after that I was less active in sports and in the gym.  In 2014 I went through some life changes and finally gave CrossFit a try after looking in from the outside with skepticism.  I cautiously went into it knowing the limits of my back.  My first workout was “Baseline”.  My time was 5:25 and I didn’t feel right for an hour!  I knew right then that any “workout” that can have those types of effects in just five minutes is worth trying out.  From that point forward I was in.   It introduced me to my Wife, Jodi and our journey began.  We both have a passion for teaching people what we know, and both became L1’s and coached together at the Box we were members at.  When we met we didn’t say, “Lets open a gym!” yet here we are and couldn’t be happier about it.  I coach with passion, enthusiasm and pride but also with caution, and I learned that from the experience I have had protecting my own back during my CrossFit journey. 2020 was a mess but it provided us the chance to create CrossFit Lindale and we are PUMPED!  I strive to make this community unlike any other!  See you at the Box!  Maybe we will do Baseline….

Jodi McCollum RN, Owner, CF L1, PPA

I am a 45 yr old RN & mother of 5.
I had always been a “yo-yo dieter” & had purchased everything from Tae-Bo to belly wraps. Growing up I thought that being skinny made me healthy. I never stuck with anything & I had no idea what accountability was. I found CrossFit after having my 4th child. I was clueless about fitness, but I knew after the first day that I was in the right place. The community pushed me to do things I never thought possible & empowered me to be better in all areas of my life. That was over 10 yrs ago & I have been a consistent part of the CrossFit community since. I continued to workout during my last pregnancy and have experience in staying active & strong(safely) during pregnancy and postpartum. In addition to being a CF L1 Trainer, I am a certified Personal Trainer & certified in Pregnancy and Postpartum Athleticism. Whether you are a beginner in fitness, a mom trying to stay healthy through pregnancy & post baby, or looking to be a competitive athlete in the sport, I am ready to help you reach your goals.

Anna Cochran CF-L1

Hey y’all, it’s Anna.  You can find me coaching the 8:15 class. I recently got my L1 and started coaching in 2022.  I started my journey with CrossFit 6 years ago and fell in love with the workouts and community.  During the ride I’ve become a mother to 3 wonderful kids and expecting the final addition to the Cochran family in August.   In 2019 the road got a little bumpy when I was diagnosed with breast cancer.  After 16 rounds of chemo, a bilateral mastectomy, and 20 rounds of radiation, I’m happy to report I’ve been cancer free. The roads we go down during our lifetime may not always be easy but being part of a community like CrossFit Lindale has been life changing for me.  So come meet me at 5 am for a workout together or let me coach you at 8:15.
